Ocean Beach Kiwanis Club's 70th annual Kite Festival. Big crowd, great time!
MMQ was held on May 5. It was a wonderful event as usual. So far $27,200 has been raised with donatations still being accepted through June 31. Good job all!
On Kiwanis One Day, Kiwanis members from Division 21 joined with sponsored groups which included Builders, Key, and Circle K Clubs for community service. They came together at Mission Trails Regional Park on Saturday, April 7th, to work together on environmental tasks. Projects included sage brush clearing, trail enhancement, and Jackson Drive Staging Area improvements. A special thanks to Ranger Mel Naidas for his leadership and expertise.
On Easter Morning, the Point Loma Kiwanis Club held their 69th annual Easter Sunrise Service. Over 700 people attended the event. Michael D. Williams, Chaplain THIRD Fleet was on hand to conduct the service.
Here is a photo from the Clairemont Hills Kiwanis Club and the Community Christian Service Agency FOOD packaging. Allen Peck and Lynn Mitchell were by themselves at first, the Jim Keith and his daughter, Crista, showed up. We put together 4 huge carts with bags of food. They pass out around 30 bags a day to needy families. So we provided enough food bags for 10 days or more.
